Brrrr...it's cold

We are in a cold snap and lucky me I have a warm and toasty house but what about the chickens? Half of them still don't all have all their feathers so they must be cold...what to do?

Art figured it out...he hung the food warmer from the diner, we have never used it, and hung it from the ceiling in the chicken coop. They are nice and toasty under a red light.

Looks silly but it works like a charm.

You better not tell them it's a food warmer! They might panic and fear they'll be on the menu! Just kidding. We have been cold here too. Would probably have been chilly at the cabin, but I would have loved it anyway. I am so afraid to see my garden. I wonder if any of my herbs, strawberries and asparagus roots will survive. - Margy

I was raised on a chicken farm and I have to say I was rolling on the floor when I saw this. That Art is pretty darn smart.

Lots of laughs with that food warmer...we don't often get such cold weather and didn't want to spend alot on money so Art decided to use what we had on hand....
