It's cherry time ...

This year the cherries hang in bunches like grapes, so many in our backyard tree. We picked a large bucket without the need of a ladder.  Eat one - pick one, eat one - pick one ... easy picking for now.  I'll now pit the  cherries and then use them at the diner for pies, jam and compote, should be good!

Best pick'em before this rain ruins them!

I know ... I was so disappointed to see the rain this morning. The problem is that not all the cherries are quite ready for picking ... I think we will loose most of them!

Nice to see you're still out there. Already working on peaches here. Time just seems to fly.Do you have a pitter?Read an article that suggested using a #8 or #9 icing tip and pushing the pit. What do you think?

Looks like enough to break the limb. Good pickins. Looking forward to the jams, pies, etc. at Magpie's. Get to come home next week and then back with Mom in October. Can you get a wheelchair into the Rodmay and Magpie's without much difficulty? - Margy
